  • Data from Providers: Information from your Electronic Logging Devices (ELD) or camera systems, such as authentication data, location data, vehicle data, driver data, hours of service data, safety events, photographic or video images, and other data provided by Data Providers.
  • Partner Information: Information shared by our partners to support Services, such as insurance or compliance-related data.

3. How We Use Your Data

We may use the data we collect for a variety of purposes, including:

  • Account Management: To verify your identity, manage your account, and facilitate the delivery of Services.
  • Service Delivery: To provide, maintain, and improve our Services, including analyzing data, processing transactions, and delivering personalized content.
  • Data Analysis: To aggregate and analyze collected data for reporting, product improvement, and compliance purposes.
  • Driving Trend Analysis: We use driving data to analyze trends such as how often drivers engage in distracted driving, which cities or states have the highest instances of speeding, or how trip lengths and distances vary during holidays. This data is anonymized and aggregated so it cannot be reasonably re-associated with you.
  • Marketing and Communications: To send promotional materials or service-related updates (you may opt-out of marketing communications).

As outlined in our agreements with carriers, we may access, aggregate, and share data from ELDs, cameras, and other sources with Data Recipients (e.g., insurers and service providers) to help arrange and administer insurance coverage, or for other related purposes. This may include:

  • Collected Data: Data collected from ELDs, cameras, or other devices, including driver and vehicle information, safety events, and location data.

4.3 Aggregated and Anonymous Data Sharing

We may share aggregated and anonymized usage data in the normal course of operating our business. For example, we may share information publicly to show trends regarding the general use of our services, such as driving behavior trends. In these instances, the shared data will not contain any of your personally identifiable information, ensuring your privacy is maintained.

4.4 Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information when required by law or in response to legal proceedings, such as court orders or government requests.

4.5 Business Transfers

In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of our assets, your data may be transferred to the new entity as part of the business transaction.

10.1 Coverage

This section applies to natural persons residing in the listed states. We provide these disclosures in compliance with the privacy laws of those states. As some rules are still being finalized, we are continuously updating our processes to ensure full compliance with these laws.

10.2 No Sale of Personal Data

TruckerCloud does not sell your personal data. We may allow third parties to collect personal data from our Services if they are authorized service providers who agree to our contractual restrictions on their retention, use, and disclosure of such data. If you interact with third parties through our Services or direct us to disclose your data to third parties, your data may be shared accordingly.

10.3 Exercising Your Rights

State laws may grant you rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal data. You may also have the right to opt out of the sharing of your data for advertising purposes. To exercise your rights, please refer to Section 9 above.

10.4 Opt-Out Process

13. Do Not Track

Our Services do not currently respond to Do-Not-Track (DNT) browser signals.

14. Children’s Privacy

Our Services are not intended for individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If we become aware that we have collected such data, we will take steps to delete it. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child under 16 has provided us with personal data, please contact us at support@truckercloud.com, and we will take immediate action to delete the information.
