Here’s how it works: brokers tell the TruckerCloud system that they’d like to be notified when a truck has entered a certain radius of the origin and/or destination. The proximity can be configured to each shipper’s preference. Then, the system will send an email to the broker - or their shipper customer - alerting them to the driver’s proximity.

This ensures all parties are informed at all times as to where the truck is, so there are no surprises. Shippers can be notified automatically, without taking any of the broker’s time. Or some brokers choose to receive the emails themselves and then call the shipper, to continue to build that relationship. It’s their choice.
